The Chemical Engineering is an incipient branch in the institution, but with the high performance of the department within last four years, we take pride in saying that the Department has secured a prominent position in the institution as well as in Pune University. Chemical Engineering has subjects which include detailed studies of Unit Operations and Unit Process like Mechanical Operations, Mass Trasnsfer. It also involves exclusively the subjects like Chemical Reaction Engineering, Transport Phenomena, Heat Transfer, Process Calculations, Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics, Process Modelling and Simulation, Process Design of Equipments, Plant Design and Project Engineering, which helps in understanding the concepts for Process design, Plant Commissioning and installation. Chemical Technology deals with the various manufacturing Process involving Unit operations and unit Process. The Instrumentation part is covered in the subjects like Industrial Instrumentation and Analysis and Process Dynamics and Control. For increasing the awareness of the students the department has offered electives like Energy Conservation & Recycling and Environmental Engineering, which gives due respect to the future trends in Energy and Environment of the world.
