Quality technical education is imparted to the students in the area of Electrical Engineering. The Department has Established Young member section of IET UK, student’s chapter of IEEE (USA). Department is headed Prof (Dr) B. E. Kushare with his graceful experience of 20 years in teaching, research and consultancy. The Department has qualified, devoted team of teaching members. The various faculties of the department has presented/ published papers in national/international conferences, national/international journals. The students of the department have presented papers/ participated in various national level events and won the prizes. Many students of second year, third year, final year topped the University examination with rank 1 to 11. For all round development of the students various export lectures/workshop, technical tours/industrial visits are organized in various areas regularly. The academic result at various Universities examinations is excellent. Many multinational companies come to conduct campus placement and around 60 to 80% of the students get campus placements with excellent salary package.

Department of Electrical Engineering offers consultancy and training in the area of Electrical design, power quality, condition monitoring, energy management and audit in addition to testing. The major equipments available for consultancy services are HIOKI 3196 power quality analyzer, IR Imager, combustion analyzer, flue gas analyzer, Circuit breaker timing kit, relay testing kit and many other equipments.

The Department has offered consultancy services to many national/multinational industrial organization such as Enercon India Pvt.Ltd, Enercon Gmbh Germany, IIT Powai, Bosch Ltd. Nashik, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Nashik, Crompton Greaves Nashik, Corporate R & D, Crompton Greaves Mumbai, Glaxo Smithkline Nashik, Innova rubbers Nashik, Blue Cross Nashik, Samsonite Asia Ltd. To accelerate research department has started post graduate program in Electrical (control systems) with 18 intake in 2007-08 and recognized research center in the year 2008-09. Five staff members of the departments are pursuing Ph.D. Programme in various areas in Electrical Engineering. Department has completed MODROB and minor research projects funded by AICTE and university Grant commission, New Delhi, SERC fellowship of department of science and technology.

Department is proactive in organizing workshop/seminar funded by various funding agencies in the area of power quality, energy management and audit, condition monitoring of Electrical equipments, recent trends in switchgears, MATLAB, ETAP/PSCAD software training every year. One of the mega event organized by the department in the National level project competition KARMVEER EXPO which is supported by IET, UK, around 500 to 600 students participate every year.

Department of Electrical Engineering aims to establish center of excellence in various areas of Electrical Engineering such as Power Quality, Energy management and audit, conditioning monitoring and to offer value added services to industries as well as society.
