Current Activities (2009-2010) Computer Competition 2009 Every year different faculties from our college are invited as judges for various competitions. This year Prof. A.R.Gawande was invited as judge for computer competition arranged by Rungtha High School, Nashik on 19th Dec 2009. Workshop on Mobile Computing K.C.E Society’s IMR, Jalgaon arranged workshop on Mobile Computing on 22nd to 23rd Oct 2009 to give faculties from other colleges to understand the basics of Mobile Computing, its scope and usage. Prof. P.D. Mahajan actively participated in the workshop. Workshop on .Net Framework 3.5 As part of Web technology one of the most important thing is that, you should be well acquainted with the knowledge of different tools used for developing web applications. One such important tool is updated version of .Net Framework 3.5. Prof. M.R. Sonar actively participated in such workshop arranged by Seed InfoTech Nashik on 30th & 31st Oct 2009 and was provided with certificate on successful completion.
Current Activities (2007-2008) Industrial VisitName of the Company: Persistent Systems Private Limited (PSPL)Location: Pune The Department organized the Industrial Visit on 1 st March 2008 for the students of MCA course. Prof. N.M.Shahane, Prof. S.M. Kamlapur, Prof.V. H. Patil, Prof. A.V.Nehete organized this visit so that the students will be able to understand corporate process, skills required, work environment and ethics practiced by the company. Seminar on Red Hat Linux Yashwant Rao Chavan Open University, Nashik arranged workshop on Advanced Statistical Computing on 10th to 12th Dec 08 to give faculties from other colleges to understand the basics of Advanced Statistical Computing, it’s scope and usage. Prof. Archana Shinde actively participated in the workshop. Seminar on Methods & Tools in Design of Virtual Reality Application There are certain problems which are common to all commercial-release operating systems - that is, any operating system which has all of the following attributes 1. It costs money, typically more than $50 2. Source code for the system is not available 3. There are strict limits as to how the system may be copied. Consequently, Windows, MacOS, DEC Ultrix, Solaris, OS/2, and other similar platforms are commercial operating systems. We need better OS which will overcome this limitations and one of the better option is Red Hat Linux. Making oneself aware about this technology is very important. The department organized a seminar on Red Hat Linux which was delivered by Mr. Rohit Kurudkar who is student of KKWIEER, Nashik presented the topic under the guidance of Prof. A.V.Nehete, Prof. K.R.Nikam who coordinated the event successfully.
